About Us

The Lawrence Firefighters Federal Credit Union was established by the firefighters in 1950.  Through the years more employee groups have been added to the field of membership.

In 1968, the members voted to include the municipal employees of the city.  Since then, state and county employees working in Lawrence were added as well as numerous employee groups from our surrounding communities.

Also, we welcome membership of your immediate family.

A credit union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative that is owned and controlled by its members.  In addition our Board of Directors is comprised of members like yourself who are unpaid volunteers.

By opening an account and maintaining your minimum deposit, you have a voice in the credit union by voting for your board of directors to represent you.  When you belong to a credit union, you own it.  Why not use it?

Lawrence Firefighters FCU currently operates with one branch office, located at 14 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA. 01840.  The Credit Union also has an ATM available to serve its members 24/7 and 365 days a year.

We also have four cash dispensers located at Lawrence City Hall, Lawrence Police Station, Lawrence Fenton District Court, and at the Relief’s Inn.  In addition, we offer members access to their accounts through the Audio Response Telephone system.  978-794-1143 or toll free 1-866-308-2042
